Ghanaian actress and model, Moesha Boduong who has featured in some movies like Amakye and Dede, Everyday People among others, has in an interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour revealed Ghanaian women depend on men to survive.
According to the curvy actress, the economic situation of the country is so bad such that women are Compelled to have sexual affairs with men just to make a living.
Moesha Bodoung was speaking to CNN’s Christiane Amanpour on an episode of Love and Sex Around the World set to air on Sunday.
She said, “In Ghana our economy is such that you just need someone to take care of you because you can’t make enough money as a woman here. Because if you want an apartment, you have to pay for two years in advance and i just started working. Where will I get money to pay?
When asked if she’s having sex with the married man essentially to pay her rent, she responded in the affirmative saying, “…Because he can afford to take care of me. He takes care of me, my financial stuff, my apartment, my car, my rent, everything”, to the obvious disbelief of Amanpour.
She further stated that in exchange for the money she receives from her lover/benefactor, she is expected to stay loyal to him and yield to his sexual desires whenever he demands. “He expects me to be loyal and just to date him only and give him sex when he wants”.
“You can’t say no. You have to give him what he wants otherwise he is going to think you are cheating on him” she responded when Christiane asked what happens if she can’t give in to his demands.
Moesha went on to reveal that in as much as her lover is married he has other mistresses aside her.
