Maverick politician, Kennedy Agyapong, is expected today at the studios of GNTV and ATV to continue with his agenda of exposing self-styled investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, and all others who contributed to the discredited No 12 investigative piece released last year by Anas Tiger Eye Group.
The Assin Central legislator will be the sole guest at the stations’ all popular ‘Asem yi Di Ka’ programme hosted by journalist, Nana Fianko, from 3:00 p.m., to 5:00 p.m., today.
The programme is also likely to be broadcast by other sister radio stations of GNTV and ATV. They include Enigye FM in Accra, Ahomka and Enyidado in the Central Region and others in Western, Eastern, Ashanti, Brong Ahafo, Volta and the Upper East, Upper West and Northern Regions.
Part of his presentation will include how he [Anas] abandoned a member of his investigative team in Dubai in the UAE during the Kwasi Nyantakyi’s exposé and how the said Tiger Eye aide had to struggle his way back to Ghana.
The said Tiger Eye investigator has since his ill-treatment by Anas severed all forms of association with Anas and his Tiger Eye investigation group.
Hon Kennedy Agyapong is also expected to spill the bin on how Anas allegedly blackmailed his victims when they were not able to meet his [Anas’] huge monetary demands that would have resulted in Anas dropping the screening of any such adverse findings.
Last week, Mr Nyantakyi exposed how Anas through an unnamed law lecturer at the University of Ghana, Legon, demanded close to GHC150,000 to stop Tiger Eye PI from screening the video of his investigations on the former GFA boss.
Through Anas’ exposé, Mr Nyantakyi has been banned for life in all football related activities by the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA). But Ken Agyapong believes that FIFA decision was the handiwork of some members of the former Ghana Football Association (GFA).
He disclosed in one of his numerous interviews last week that the chief orchestrator of the get-Nyantakyi-out agenda was Randy Abbey, a one-time protégé of the former GFA boss.
Randy is a member of the all-powerful Coffee Shop Mafia, most of whose members have been linked to Kwasi Nyantakyi’s woes.
The Assin Central MP has thus sworn to frustrate every attempt of Randy Abbey to ascend to the high seat of GFA.
Therefore, expect Hon Agyapong to state on the programme why he feels Randy Abbey is not fit to be the next President of the country’s Football Association because of the role he [Randy] played in the premiering of the infamous Number 12 exposé.
In fact, Ken is expected to tell the whole country how Randy Abbey in a secret tape vowed to bring Kwesi Nyantakyi down.
But perhaps the biggest of his exposé will be what he knows about the cold murder of Anas’ right-hand man, Ahmed Suale. The young man was shot and killed instantly at Madina, a suburb of Accra, early this year.
Ken himself had some answers to give the police in the murder of Suale because he exposed the pictures of the slain investigator while urging his workers to deal with him anytime he came to his Oman FM compound.
That notwithstanding, Ken had always maintained that Anas knew about the gruesome murder of his [Anas’] former colleague. He is likely to be interrogated on what he knew about Suale’s murder.
Other issues likely to feature in the two-hour interview will include his take on his own ruling government, the President of the Republic, the cabal within the government who are milking the country and an attempt on his life by his own party members.
He will again talk about the Ayawaso West Wuogon bye-election, the opposition NDC, his constant fight with colleague MP, Muntaka, his encounter with the Privileges Committee of Parliament, his high temper and the fact that he has 13 children.
Hon Agyapong is also to file questions on his insulting behaviour, and how he would want to be remembered.
There is also the little question of his sojourn in the US that he would talk to on the programme.
